Bush Camp

The Bush Camp accommodation is rustic, yet tastefully furnished. The Bush Camp has two thatched units, a “Rondavel” with an en suite outside bathroom and a “Squaredavel” with a communal bathroom. Each unit can accommodate four guests in a Queen size bed and two single bunk beds.
The Bush Camp also has four permanent tents. Each tent can accommodate two guests. The Fish Eagle and Kingfisher tents are close by to one another (each with two single beds), perfect for parents to have their children close by. The Nightjar tent is named after a nocturnal bird which can be heard all year around and is furnished with a Queen bed. The Woodpecker tent is positioned in a secluded area of the camp (two single beds).
The Bush Camp can accommodate 16 guests in the permanent tents and thatched units.
An additional 4 guests can be accommodated in two 3x3m canvas tents with stretchers in. In total the Bush Camp can accommodate 20 guests. All tents and rooms have electricity, fans, hairdryers and USB charging points.
The Bush Camp has a fully equipped Lapa for up to 20 guests with a small kitchenette, gas hob, bar fridge, ice machine and indoor & outdoor braai areas. The “Bunker House” situated in close proximity to the Lapa has a Fridge/Freezer, Microwave oven, and washing machine for guests to make use of.
The outdoor braai area has a boma area where guests can sit and relax next to a crackling bushveld fire. There is also a separate outdoor “fire-circle” for those late conversations around the fire.
The Bush Camp has a small “Bush Jacuzzi” pool for guests to cool off in on hot summer days.
The Bush Camp is booked out exclusively to one group or family at a time, ensuring privacy for the guests. We are pet friendly on request.

Accommodation

The camp has two thatched units, a ‘Rondavel’ and a ‘Squaredavel’.
Each unit is equipped with a fan for the warm summer nights.
In addition to the thatched units, the camp has 4x permanent tents which each sleep two people.
All tents and rooms have electricity, fans, hairdryers and USB charging points

Rondavel

The Rondavel sleeps 4 guests. 1x Queen bed and 1x bunk bed (2x single bunks).
Only fitted sheets are provided on the beds, for hygiene reasons please bring your own bedding and towels.

Squaredavel

The Squaredavel sleeps 4 guests. 1x Queen bed and 1x bunk bed (2x single bunks).
Only fitted sheets are provided on the beds, for hygiene reasons please bring your own bedding and towels.

Permanent Tents

There are 4x permanent tents that each sleep 2 guests. Bathrooms

The Squaredavel is serviced by a single outside toilet and shower at the back of the unit.
The Rondavel has an en suite bathroom with outdoor shower, toilet and bath; the Rondavel bathroom can also be accessed externally should guests residing in the tents wish to make use of the bath.
The Rondavel and Squaredavel bathrooms are fed from a Solar Geyser. The Geyser is capable of providing sufficient warm water, but guests should use the hot water sparingly, especially during winter and on overcast days.

Bush Bathrooms

The 4x permanent tents and 3×3 canvas tents (if pitched) are serviced by two bush bathrooms. Each bush bathroom has an outdoor hot water shower and indoor basin and toilet.

Kitchen, Lapa, and Bunker

The camp has a Lapa with a small kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a small gas hob, warm water, a kettle, toaster, sandwich press, electric frying pan and cutlery & crockery. There is enough cutlery, crockery & glasses for 20x guests. There are also pots, pans, cooking utensils, a No 4 Potjie, Dutch Oven and two “varkie ovens” for making bread on the fire in. The kitchenette is also equipped with a small bar fridge.
The lapa area has two large wooden tables and seating for up to 20x people. There is also an ice machine and indoor built-in braai.
Adjacent to the lapa there is a “boma” fire area for guests to utilize. The fire area includes two large braai grids as well as various pans and skillets for cooking on the fire.
There is a storeroom in close proximity to the lapa known as “The Bunker” with a single fridge/freezer, Microwave oven and washing machine which are available for the guests to make use of.
